Predeparture

Participants learn about current trends and developments in nursing through seminars relating to special issues in nursing and health care, while deepening cross-cultural perspectives through international/intercultural living experiences and activities.


On-site visitations to local health care facilities allow participants to directly observe current innovative approaches to nursing. Students become familiar with the University of Hawai`i School of Nursing, including its undergraduate and graduate curricula and campus laboratory.


Participants also have the opportunity to participate in programs relevant to their areas of interest at the University of Hawai`i and other local health care facilities.
